MASSACHUSETTS · INTERNET RESEARCH
The Massachusetts Broadband Institute at MassTech publishes both a Map Gallery and an infrastructure progress dashboard. The gallery explains broadband serviceable-location data and links Last Mile and MassBroadband 123 research. The separate dashboard tracks publicly funded projects under the Gap Networks and Residential Retrofit programs, with views by municipality, program and awardee. This distinction matters when comparing a town’s network work with readiness at an individual home or apartment. Check the project details and dataset dates, then ask the provider whether the building and unit can currently be connected.
Local source: Massachusetts Broadband Institute [1]. This is an independent research guide. State offices and provider networks operate separately from Tarheel Connect.
Start with the source's date and status definitions. Map coverage, planned work, funding and current service are different questions.

program
Tracks public broadband projects by municipality, program and awardee with individual award details.
MBI’s infrastructure dashboard shows awards and project status by municipality, program or awardee. It describes Gap Networks and Residential Retrofit investments and links individual project details. A municipal project should still be checked for service at the specific property.
MBI’s Map Gallery describes serviceable locations and notes that address records can include unit counts. A location record identifies a building for analysis; it does not by itself confirm a particular provider plan or every apartment’s installation readiness.
Enter the complete address and unit on the FCC National Broadband Map [4], note the record's date and connection type, and check the same property with the provider. Confirm an orderable plan, current Broadband Facts label and installation options before changing service.
These primary sources support the state-specific answers above. Source dates and project definitions should be checked before relying on a map or announcement. No household coverage percentage, retail price or installation promise is inferred.
Call with your street address. We’ll talk through your options. The provider confirms availability and final terms. Calling does not place an order or book installation.
