NATIONAL RESEARCH / CHECKED OCTOBER 13, 2026

Old name. New owner.
Which network is yours?

Use the current bill, account notice and provider’s exact-address answer to identify the company serving your home. Rebrands, asset sales, parent acquisitions and wholesale joint ventures mean different things. A shared name or owner does not prove a second independent connection, a fiber upgrade or a completed household migration.

This lookup covers 13 selected sourced relationships. Read event scope and status before applying an old name to a current account.

Find the name on your bill

Sources establish the event described, not every later account or street connection. Search stays on this page and is not sent or saved.

Verify the line, not just the logo

  1. Read the current bill’s provider and legal/account name; use a verified account notice for migration details.
  2. Ask who operates or maintains the installed network and who sells, bills and supports the service. A wholesale partner can have a different role from the retail brand.
  3. Confirm whether fiber, coax, copper or wireless reaches the home and unit. Do not open shared or provider equipment.
  4. Qualify each proposed alternative at the same address; ask whether it is an independent service path or a different retail offer on shared infrastructure.
  5. Read the eligible label, complete cost, equipment and installation terms before changing service.

Provider lineage questions

Availability, prices and provider terms need confirmation. Here’s where to start.

Contact us
Does a shared parent mean two advertised services use the same line?

Not necessarily. Ownership, retail branding, wholesale arrangements and the installed connection are separate questions. Use the account notice, product and provider’s confirmation for the exact home.

Are all Frontier accounts now Ziply or Verizon Fios?

No. The 2020 Northwest sale to Ziply and the 2026 Verizon acquisition of Frontier are distinct events. Neither corporate event establishes that every individual home has changed retail brand or received a new fiber line.

Is a proposed joint venture already the network owner?

An announcement or expected closing date does not establish a completed transaction. The lookup explicitly marks proposed events as announced. Check a closing disclosure and the provider’s current account notice.

Does the dataset contain every ISP and address in all 50 states?

No. It covers the selected sourced relationships shown here. It does not identify every provider, household, network route or migration status. Check exact-address service separately.
