What do the official High Point pages say?
Kinetic’s High Point page lists fiber tiers from 100 Mbps to 2 Gig and advertises no annual contracts or data caps. It says availability varies by neighborhood and requires an address check.
Spectrum’s High Point page advertises download speeds up to 1 Gig, no data caps and no contracts, with address qualification. Its local offer details describe a hybrid fiber/coax connection. The High Point store page describes fiber in the network and coaxial lines to the premises.
These are local provider descriptions checked October 11, 2026, not a quote or confirmation for your property. Spectrum offers other network types in selected markets; do not apply this local description to every Spectrum connection.

What should you compare in two qualified quotes?
Ask for the exact plan name, written quote and Broadband Facts label for each eligible option. Put both quotes on the same sheet. Keep unknown items as questions rather than treating them as free or included.
| Write down | Ask before ordering |
|---|---|
| Last-mile connection | Does fiber or coaxial cable reach this home? Is new wiring needed? |
| Download and upload | What typical performance does this plan’s Broadband Facts label describe? |
| Recurring bill | What is the complete bill now and after any promotion? What conditions apply to discounts? |
| Wi-Fi equipment | What modem, gateway or router is included? What costs extra, and who supports it? |
| Installation | What is the confirmed fee and appointment? Does the property need access or permission? |
| Ending service | What must be returned, by when, and what charges can remain? |
Use the full internet-cost worksheet to compare the same billing period, including equipment, setup and any old-service overlap. This guide intentionally does not publish numerical prices.
How do you decide which option fits?
Choose around your household’s busiest hour and the confirmed terms. Frequent uploads or livestreaming make upload capacity a question to ask. Several simultaneous downloads make available capacity important. Wi-Fi coverage deserves its own check whichever provider you choose.
Use the household speed guide for a workload worksheet and the Wi-Fi guide for room checks. We have not measured these providers’ latency, outages or in-home coverage in High Point. There is no universal winner in this comparison.
Moving to High Point or changing providers?
Confirm the new service’s actual installation or activation arrangements before fixing the old service’s end date. Check building access, landlord approval where needed, and which equipment you must return. A preferred date is not a confirmed appointment.
Keep the quote, provider order reference and return receipt together. The moving internet checklist helps organize the handover without promising uninterrupted service.
How was this comparison prepared?
Tarheel Fiber prepared this buyer guide from the three official High Point sources linked above, reviewed October 11, 2026. We selected Kinetic and Spectrum because both publish information for High Point and the requested comparison has a useful connection-and-quote checklist. This is not an exhaustive city directory, a measured ranking or a review based on customer testing.
Tarheel Fiber is an independent retailer. We can discuss the available ordering route for Kinetic Fiber or Spectrum; the provider confirms eligibility, prices, installation and service terms. The provider operates the network and handles existing-service support. Other options may serve your address; start with the North Carolina provider directory.
